My totem is the owl. I equate it with wisdom , which is what I search for healing,
knowledge, and self actualization. I love all owls, they are beautiful and
mysterious.
One is a creature of the night. One is silent as the night.
My second choice is the horse which I equate with freedom, power, & majesty.
All creatures of God are beautiful in some way and to some people.
I just think the horse is a majestically beautiful animal.
One is an animal of sunlight. One has the hooves of thunder.

Have you heard the story of having two wolves in our heart and we must make the choice of which one to
feed and thus make stronger? We must look at both the light & dark things in life and decide which direction
to take. What attracts you to the wolf and how long has this attraction been? Many blessings. If I don't get a

I've been very mystified by them since childhood. I was with my Brother and Father fishing in boat about 50 feet off shore at a lake in Northern Minnesota when we saw a Wolf Pack running along the tree lined shore. The three of us looked at each other and were speechless. That was a moment I will never forget. I wanted to swim ashore and run with them. I should have.



There are no bad wolves, just perceptions.

That picture is beautiful. That moment you had must have
been exhilarating. I have had such pivotal, memorable
experiences, never to be forgotten. Ingrained, engraved &
branded into one's consciousness. It is a special moment.
I strive to experience more such moments. These moments
make life worth living.
On a darker note: all the animals we have feared & given a bad
reputation, have much more to fear from us, then us from them.

Well I guess all of us here love animals. Have you ever heard of the Gaia principle, that mother
earth is like one living organism. I believe we are all energy & chemical beings interrelated
to one another, to the earth, and finally with the universe. If I hurt you, I hurt myself.
We all can influence each other, either with positive energy or negative energy.
This brings to mind three threads I have to get around writing.(1) Gaia principle, (2) we are
interrelated, & (3) positive & negative energy. Well you certainly stimulated thought!

Mother speaks to those who listen. She told me of just the thing you mentioned the positive and the negative; Yin and Yang. The Celestial Jewel. See the poem I wrote it, in poem section

Transcending, balanced, and centered. I strive for this, but I
must let it flow. For in striving, I push it away. Learn to hear
the stillness & roar of the universe that is within.
I came from another site that was psychology based and
used the Myers Briggs test to determine temperament & the
associated characteristics. Supposedly for more awareness,
and insight into one's self and to understand others. Are
You familiar with this typology, and does it interest you.
If you are I gave descriptions of the different types in the

humbly taking what you just share with others...

since i live in a culture that seems to have lost all connections to traditional healing,
and totally relies on expert medical and psychological diagnoses,
my transcending, balancing and centering may not really be for the showcase.

i call it translating. usually into hearing... \!!

external and internal usually are terms for differing impressions our minds need to discern as such. \!!

external: yes, i have always adored communication skills and think they CAN, yet should not forcibly be taught. a healer hears and feels frequencies and energies. and any verbose "systematic" explanations may only have an impact on a client's intellect, usually within a short attention span.

inner listening or hearing: waiting until it translates into pictures and/or language compatible with individual, and to an extent also collective, wellbeing.

my experience is, however, that the seemingly drastic practices of unbroken native traditions would oftentimes be much more effective, positive or negative (the latter may occur as something similar to a culture shock, imho).

in my country, alternative healing is viewed with extreme suspicion and restricted by administrative legislation in addition to being fought tooth and nail from (western) school medicine.

communication skills, therefore, would have to come rather from an intuitively memorized past life experience. just how i have come to understand it.

it is important to see that cultures thrive on the trust people are able to place in each other's talents and skills, and "modern" western lifestyles may have done much \!! to the contrary, to say the least.

It has been my experience that some people are more apt to look within, and are aware of this inner
universe. Such types are apt to be labeled deep.
Yet there are others who view the external world as real at it is their only concern.
Do you think that it is possible for an entire culture to learn to listen to this inner voice, or even a large
percentage.
I think people are built differently and have different talents and different perceptions of the world. Thus there
are many versions of what is real.
What are your thoughts on the matter?

It has been my perception that one must find and know the inner'self'before venturing out and viewing external abstracions. It is these unsolved abstracioins that clutter the mind and cause confusion and then anxiety and fear. Most humans do not understand this and that is why we have so many problems in the world.
