| While we all use all 4 of these functions, we tend to prefer certain ones more than others.
My score is 12 Intuitor, 9 Thinker, 5 Feeler, 4 Senser.

| From where do these preferences originate, I wonder. |

A member on another site said that certain abundances of brain chemicals can then manifest themselves into these different strengths. | |

| This is parallel information about communication styles. I looked it up on the other site. Dhyana, reported on the findings of researcher Helen Fisher. According to Fisher the 4 main types of temperament have a specific chemical or neurotransmitters that dominate. NF estrogen dominates the negotiator type temperament NT testosterone dominates the director type temperament SJ serotonin dominates the builder type temperament SP dopamine dominates the explorer type temperament | |

| Very interesting Lightsun, thank you.
Chemicals, huh. Like - dopamine? I don't think that's limited to what your listing up here. |

| What exactly IS the "explorer" type temperament. See, I'm a certified dopamine junkie and my S is very low. I have been going through some interesting chemical changes over the years. |

| The explorer type SP, is very action oriented. They are sports stars, construction workers, & emergency services personal. Of all the types, the SP responds best & the quickest to emergencies. They live in the moment and for the moment. | |

| As far as a link. I vehemently do not recommend the site. This holds true especially for Intuitives. There really is not much information except for the researcher's name and the results stated. | |

They have little dopamine in their systems then? Or do they have broad dopamine pathways in the brain? I have flooded my brain with dopamine a whole lot but I can't even drive a car (and never could). I am highly receptive to dopamine, I'm a dopamine junkie. |

| Hey bit, sure i'll private message you. As far as how much dopamine the SP has, it is an overabundance. At least according to this researcher. | |

| Neurotransmitters are temperamental beasts. It's not always a question of how much - dopamine ie. has been mapped to include regulations of (if I recall correctly) more than eight physiological functions. Too much and you can go insane. I readily believe it helps perception. Hm I have to read her work. And quickly. |

| I am glad you find it informative. It is all part of the puzzle of who we are. Putting the pieces or clues, seems to be a life long mission in trying to understand ourselves. | |

| This indeed seems to check out!
It makes perfect sense. I know that the topography is simplified and incomplete but I know she is on track. |

| stimulating brain tissue by boosting hormones. it has been proven that neural pathways can connect to human organs without using the spinal chord. |
