Please pardon if I have put this in the wrong section; no other seemed more appropriate
A lion's mighty roar falls silent
"a good and decent man, who saw wrong and tried to right it, saw suffering and tried to heal it, saw war and tried to stop it"
"For all those whose cares have been our concern, the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives and the dream shall never die."
Sen. Kennedy was often contentious, sometimes polarizing. Not everyone agreed with him, some even made fun of him. To me, though, he was an example of the best of conventional wisdom, learned and reinforced through often costly life experiences, and applied, persistently and intensely, to the betterment of our society. He leaves large shoes to fill.
